You’re a few simple steps from making your new custom granny flat a reality

Many people think that the building process can be a real pain – but it doesn’t have to be. We’ve created a streamlined process to ensure your granny flat is built with the least amount of stress possible! My Granny Flat WA guarantee a straightforward and stress free approach to building your granny flat. We offer an all-inclusive service – consultation, design, plan preparation, certification, engineering and construction.  Our one stop granny flat service frees you from the hassle and the headache of wading through sales representatives, pre-start consultants and customer liaison officers, as well as having to deal with the potential conflicts often involved in engaging separate designers, builders and tradespeople. When you build with us, you deal direct with the builder from design to finish. Daren is personally in the field at your project site overseeing every aspect of your build.

 


 

STEP 1: INITIAL CONTACT AND SITE VISIT

Call today and we will perform a desktop review of your block and organise a free site visit and quote. Our builder will then meet you onsite and dedicate the time needed to understand precisely what your vision, needs, ideas, design, size and budget are for your granny flat. If you have your own specific design that you want to use he will work together with you to achieve your design preferences.

STEP 3: PROPOSED PLAN

Upon receiving proposed plans you can liaise with the draftsman until you are completely satisfied with the design. When you are completely satisfied, full working drawings are then drawn up.

STEP 5: CONTRACT AND SPECIFICATION

Meet with our builder after acceptance of price to complete and sign the contract. We only use the Fixed price Housing Industry Association (HIA) Contracts for your peace of mind.

STEP 7: BUILDING WORKS

Once council approval has been received our builder will discuss with you all details associated with the construction. A start date will be confirmed with you, usually within 10 days of receiving final approval. The construction process is approximately 12 weeks, depending on complexity of the site and weather conditions. Throughout the build we will keep you regularly updated on the progress.

STEP 2: DESIGN STAGE

Our draftsmen will create a design brief in line with your budget and requirements and produce a detailed proposal of works with considered costs. If you choose to select a granny flat design from our design gallery you will be presented with a plan to demonstrate how the granny flat will look and fit on your block.

STEP 4: DETAILED QUOTATION

Once full working drawings are complete a fixed price and specifications are submitted to you.

STEP 6: BUILDING APPROVALS

My Granny Flat WA will prepare and lodge all of the necessary building applications so you receive the fastest building approval possible for your granny flat. During this phase you will discuss colour and product selections.

STEP 8: COMPLETION

Congratulations! Our builder will organise with you handover of the keys. Your quality granny flat is complete.
